The Stirling Engine Work Group in Munich

(founded 1986)

The work group is open to anyone - members include sixth-formers, students, tradesmen, engineers, professors, pensioners, etc. At the monthly meetings, information is exchanged, projects are discussed, further steps are planned, tasks are allocated, results (e.g. from conferences) are announced, literature is added to our archive, queries are answered, successes are celebrated - and more. The work session comes to an informal close in a pizzeria.
Those involved in the work group are individuals who wish to speed up the development of the Stirling Engine. They share the conviction that the current approach to energy is causing unacceptable damage to health and to the environment, and so can no longer be justified. Here, the most important steps are:

Current Activities of the Work Group Our activities are determined by our financial resources. We work independently and do not receive any grants. At the third European Stirling Forum in Osnabrück (Feb. 1996), the dedication and successful work of the work group was recognised with a prize awarded by Dieter Viebach (Kolbermoor, Germany).

Regular meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month (except in August). An information file is available for inspection at any time in the city environmental shop at Rindermarkt, near Marienplatz.
