Dr. Adam Eppendahl's Mechanical Compass
Another novel design, based on ready-made differentials. Albeit similar to
John Nuttall's design on first glimpse, it is quite different:
- No single shaft, but three short pieces
- Powering the middle piece of the shaft, the chariot will become self-propelled
- The other way round, counting the revolutions of the middle piece gives
an exact measure of the distance travelled
- Can be constructed with standard LEGO bricks
