Dimensioning Wooden Gears - Calc Sheet 2

The configuration with parallel wheels (elaborated here) has five free parameters, listed in the first table below. Design goal is to find the smallest values for e and z resulting in a positive min(dist). Keep in mind that too large a min(dist) is equivalent to considerable backlash while "spot on" requires tolerances hard to keep in the average hobby workshop.
